Industrial Accelerometers
Our accelerometers can be deployed in industrial environments for monitoring machinery or structures.
The RECOVIB® accelerometers are of proven design and the majority of the models available are widely used in a variety of fields, such as the machine tools, precision machining and on-shore and off-shore wind energy sectors in monitoring or active vibration control applications.
Structural Health Sensors
Inclinometers
Those dual axis inclinometers are designed to measure very small changes from the vertical level, either on the ground or in structures.
They exhibit high resolution and low thermal drift. Their mechanical design and enhanced internal surge protection make them particularly useful for the permanent outdoor monitoring of structures being subjected to various influences such as loading and foundation settlement.
TINY Vibration Recorder
We offer different measuring ranges: ± 2/6G, ± 15G, ± 200G.
It is able to record 1024 acceleration values (shocks and vibrations) per channel per second.
The RECOVIB Tiny is the smallest, lightest and the most robust recorder on the market that is able
to perform recordings in extreme conditions ranging from -10°C to +50°C. It is also dust and watertight to IP65.
FEEL USB Accelerometer
Various signal processing options are available: high-pass, low-pass and band-pass filters, integrator filters (velocity mode) and dual-integrator filters (displacement mode). In the frequency domain, several FFT-based computations are offered: Amplitude Spectrum, Peak and RMS, Power Spectrum, Power Spectral Density and Amplitude Spectral Density.
MONITOR Acquisition Systems
They can either stream sensor’s raw data to a local machine or send secured messages to the Recovib.io platform. In that mode, they can be remotely configured and customized to fit customer’s needs.
Based on our extensive background in wind turbine structural parts monitoring, the MONITOR devices provide flexibility, precision measurement and dependability – even in harsh, remote environments.
SHIVER Environmental Vibrations
The SHIVER devices are linked to the recovib.io platform (Micromega Dynamics Cloud Software) in order to offer a near real-time reporting solution with norm comparison.
The use of SHIVER devices ensures environmental and workplace compliance and helps to maintain good relationships with neighboring people and businesses.
Recovib.io Cloud Platform
RECOVIB Suite software
The free Recovib.Suite is composed of 5 application modules:
- The Recovib.Tiny Module allows the user to set up the Recovib.Tiny vibration recorder (i.e. to define the recording period) and to download the recorded data to the host PC.
- The Recovib.Feel Module allows the user to visualize and record signals acquired with the Recovib.Feel USB vibration sensor connected to the host PC.
- The Recovib.Monitor Module allows the user to visualize and record signals acquired with Recovib.Monitor acquisition systems connected to the host PC.
- The Recovib.Converter Module allows the user to export the data recorded by the Recovib devices in various data formats (txt, wav, MATLAB, LabVIEW, HDF5 etc.).
- The Recovib.Viewer Module allows the user to replay the data recorded by the Recovib devices.
Whole-body vibration meters
Stored data is downloaded from the sensor(s) at the end of the working period to a smartphone or a PC using a Bluetooth connection.
The software allows for the automatic computation and display of workers’ exposure to whole-body vibrations and indicates how such exposure compares with the limit and action values defined in the vibration Directive.
The set of whole-body vibration meters (Vib@Work Seat, Vib@Work Floor & Vib@Work Detect) can measure the vibration exposure of either seated or standing operators. In addition, when used in conjunction, seat efficiency can also be measured (i.e. S.E.A.T. factors).
Hand-arm vibration meters
Stored data is downloaded from the sensor(s) at the end of the working period using a docking station connected to a PC.
The software allows for the automatic computation and display of workers’ exposure to hand-arm vibration and indicates how such exposure compares with the limit and action values defined in the vibration Directive.
In order to cover the full range of existing handheld tools, two sensors have been developed: one for usual vibrating tools while another is dedicated to highly percussive tools that generate high levels of shock (Up to 50 000 m/s²).
Our measuring device that can be attached to any type of tool, is currently the only device capable of taking accurate vibration measurements without disturbing workers’ tasks with annoying and fragile cabling. A special version of the sensor is specifically designed for measurements on highly percussive tools.
Passive Damping Devices
TMA and TMD are mechanical resonant devices used to suppress or absorb vibrations. When installed properly on a machine or structure, they draw away vibrational energy from the structure or machine and dissipate it internally, hence reducing their motion.
They do not require a redesign of the target structure/machine and do not interfere with the main structure/machine function. This makes them an ideal solution for existing machine retrofitting/troubleshooting.
TMA and TMD have been successfully implemented on rotating machines such as large water pumps, rotary no-break systems, chemical reactors, wind turbine gearboxes and scroll compressors etc.
Active Damping Devices
It may be that local/global resonances are degrading the performance of the isolation system, because it is not stiff enough or because perturbation sources are located on the isolated part.
In such a case, our Active Damping Devices provide a solution by introducing structural damping into most of the unwanted mechanical resonances. Up to 15% structural damping can be achieved, without any major redesign effort. Compared to passive dampers, the ADD are lighter and not sensitive to changes in the supporting structure dynamics.
